Lilly Leads with Inclusive Design

Eli Lilly, a leading pharmaceutical company in the U.S., believes strongly that responsible product development starts by considering the full range of human diversity. They recognize, when designing for a select group, you can miss key demographics and nowhere is this more evident than in the field of medicine and healthcare. Their mission is to design for diverse populations, develop products that create positive experiences, and deliver equitable healthcare outcomes that make life better for everyone. To emphasize the importance of designing for inclusion, and bring awareness to these issues across Eli Lilly & Company, they initiated a series of internal workshops and symposiums to educate employees, and bring different voices and perspectives into the conversation. Working closely with the Lilly Design Team, I was tasked with creating several key design elements to brand these events and help inspire the changes necessary to evolve their thinking.
